Beautiful Balayage
Posted on: June 10, 2009Kendra always had foils used on her hair until she came to the salon. Our senior colorist Mira Herre, hand painted these beautiful highlights and lowlights using the balayage technique. We processed her color for about 30 minutes, and then followed it with a beautiful golden glaze that not only brightened her highlights but blended her natural base color. After Mira was finished, I then cut long layers giving her hair a stronger shape. Kendra was so suprized at the difference between balayage and foils, not only for its multi dimensional effect but also her hair has never been in such great condition.
EVA SCRIVO SALON is now offering advanced hair painting courses at our new 13th St location in the meatpacking district. We are inviting colorists from around the world to be inspired. Our aim is to help cultivate the artist within every hairdresser.

Hi I always get foils done and this sounds pretty interesting…Any places around Akron, Ohio that do this technique? And what kind of extensions would be the least damaging and most natural looking for hair? I have a little longer than shoulder length hair already but it’s kind of dull and boring. Please E-mail me I’ll forget to check this website.

Hi Gail,
I did some research but unfortunately I didn’t find anyone in your area who specializes in balayage. If you do have a positive experience somewhere please post it here so others can benefit as well. Good luck!
Best wishes,
Eva

Hi Elizabeth,
I do think that Wella is a very good color line. I’ve used most of the professional lines during the course of my career if you have specific questions about any of them. As for my balayage technique, it’s not something that I can discuss on this forum but I know that you have also inquired about taking a class at our salon. Hope to meet you one day.
Best
Eva
